Elephant and Castle is mid-transformation, and the parking shows it: Southwark's controlled zones on every street, older estates with garages built for a different era, and new towers with bays built in underneath, not all of them claimed. The result is a decent amount of genuine off-street space for somewhere this central.

London South Bank University keeps the area busy through term, and the London College of Communication sits right on the junction. Add Northern and Bakerloo line commuters, Thameslink services from the rail station and the steady rebuild of Elephant Park, and demand is anything but transitional.
