Oxford main station is less than ten minutes walk. It is a fifteen minute walk straight into the centre of Oxford. Or 22 minutes along the canal to Jericho. Downstream it is a 20 minute walk to Folly Bridge, the County Court and Christ Church College. Helen road is quite narrow (supermarket deliveries can manage it) so not really suitable for novice drivers.
