Most of Shepherd's Bush is permit parking, and QPR home games add their own restrictions around Loftus Road. The terraced streets of W12 fill with residents' cars by evening, which leaves rented driveways and garages doing much of the useful work.

Westfield London charges for its spaces, so plenty of shoppers look for alternatives close by. The O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, the redeveloped Television Centre and Imperial's White City campus all feed the same streets, and the Central line at Shepherd's Bush station keeps commuters in the mix.
