Camden borough is one long controlled zone and Kentish Town sits square inside it. Permit bays line the terraced streets off the high street, and free spaces are effectively a rumour. Off-street space is limited to mews and the odd converted forecourt, and most of it is spoken for.

Kentish Town station offers both the Northern line and Thameslink, so City-bound commuters claim the streets early. Gig nights at the O2 Forum on Highgate Road take whatever is left, and Camden Town is near enough that its weekend crowds wash this far north.
