Brighton's controlled zones cover almost the entire city and the parking charges are among the highest outside London, deliberately so. The Regency terraces have no driveways, the lanes behind them are too narrow to park in, and the seafront bays are short stay.

The city fills in summer, at conference season and every time there is something on at the Amex, and it commutes to London in large numbers the rest of the time, so a space near a station is worth a great deal here.
